K. David Hirschey is the principal of Personnel Management, Inc. The firm provides leadership and support for strategic business planning, organizational design, performance coaching, as well as human capital activities for emerging growth and middle market organizations in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
David’s previous industrial experience includes both managerial and executive positions at Xerox Corporation, Frito-Lay, Inc., and General Mills, Inc. Additionally, David was the principal in a management consulting firm of Hirschey Associates, in Los Gatos, California, a firm that provided business development counsel throughout the United States. Emphasis was on assisting clients to identify opportunities, develop growth strategies, and implement interventions appropriate to their organizations. David has authored articles on negotiations, leadership and motivation, and consulting. He has given numerous public and private seminars, as well as having provided testimony as both an advocate and an expert witness in litigation proceedings – where David is recognized both as a human resource and a forensic economic expert.
David received a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics and a master’s degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota. He has completed additional graduate work at Cornell University. He has served on the board and as president of the Twin Cities Human Resources Association, one of the largest organizations of its kind in North America. David also contributes as an adjunct faculty instructor at several universities and colleges dealing with business, leadership, and topical courses teaching traditional and adult learners – both domestically and internationally.
