Christine “Critty” McClendon is the manager for Out of District Placements, Extended School Year (ESY), and child welfare liaison for Denver Public Schools. McClendon has worked for Denver Public Schools for 26 years. She taught K-12 special education students for 12 years. Currently, she oversees students who have Individual Education Plans (IEP) at 56 approved mental health facilities in the state of Colorado and the Denver City and County Jail. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Special Education from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, and a Master’s in Special Education and Director of Special Education from University of Northern Colorado.
