Dr. Lam is committed to supporting students with disabilities and differences by preparing pre-service and in-service teachers to effectively meet student needs. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Education at Gustavus Adolphus College and her Master of Science degree in School Psychology from Rochester Institute of Technology. She received her doctorate at the University of Minnesota in the Educational Psychology department with an emphasis in special education. She is licensed in the state of Minnesota in the areas of Elementary Education, Mathematics, School Psychology, and Director of Special Education.
Dr. Lam has provided direct services to students with disabilities, served as a consultant to school-based teams, and provided leadership at the district level. A member of national organizations in the field of special education, she serves as an article reviewer for national journals and presents at local, state, and national conferences. She has published in the field of special education on the topics of executive functioning, literacy, assessment, and intervention. She is honored to be able to support adult learners and to make a difference in the lives of students with disabilities and differences.
