Merri Moody is responsible for program administration and quality assurance, faculty and student recruitment, strategic planning, and compliance with all regulations and standards for the RN to BSN program at Saint Mary’s University. She brings extensive academic leadership to this position. Merri also serves as program director for the MS in Nurse Anesthesia program at Saint Mary’s, a role she has held for more than 18 years.
Merri’s distinguished career spans more than 35 years in nursing and nursing education. As a practitioner, she has served as a nurse anesthetist for Regions Hospital, Mercy Hospital, and Hennepin County Medical Center. Her varied nursing career has also included roles as a staff nurse for the post-anesthesia care unit and cardiac care unit at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, as a clinic nurse treating Chicago Cubs fans at Wrigley Field, and as a staff nurse in the medical intensive care unit of Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Merri earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice with high honors from the College of St. Scholastica. She holds an M.S. in Nurse Anesthesia from Saint Mary’s Graduate Center and Abbott Northwestern Hospital School of Anesthesia. Merri earned her BSN from Northwestern University Medical School and her diploma in nursing from St. Mary of Nazareth School of Nursing.
