Mary Foss brings more than 23 years of pharmacy experience to her faculty role at Saint Mary’s. She currently serves as clinical pharmacy manager and as director of the Mercy-Unity pharmacy residency program at Unity Hospital Allina. Mary also works as a clinical pharmacy specialist for University Medical Center-Fairview. Her diverse pharmacy career has also included roles as a long-term care consultant pharmacist, an IV pharmacist, a hospital pharmacist, and a clinical pharmacist.
A former high school chemistry and physics teacher, Mary has been an associate professor of Pharmacology for Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and an adjunct assistant professor for the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy since 1998.
Mary earned her Doctor of Pharmacy and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in acute care and staff development at the University of Minnesota, where she also earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. She additionally holds a Master of Science in Biology from North Dakota State University and a Bachelor of Science/Education in Biological & Physical Sciences from the University of North Dakota.
