International development is a field with countless career options and far-reaching implications across sectors, which can make it difficult to decide what to do post-graduation. The 40-hour field project, completed as part of the required course MID 690, can consist of a variety of practical experiences. You will design a project or experience within a sector of international development and make it a reality. Whether through a trip abroad, an internship with an international organization, or other development opportunities, you will apply the skills from your coursework to real-world scenarios in organizations such as:

  • The United Nations
  • The Red Cross
  • Books for Africa
  • Peace Corps
  • International Rescue Committee
