Chris Becht currently develops logistics and sustainment solutions for advanced systems, equipment and technologies at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. He performs systems engineering level validation/verification for the F-35 contract specification requirements. He accomplishes this by drafting technical instructions, engineering plans, technical designs, and other systems integration related documents. Furthermore, he develops and conducts testing plans and procedures based upon system recommendations and provides customers with post-installation and integration support.
Becht has a very diverse background. He spent 25 years in the U.S. Navy, with specialties in operations management, quality assurance, and aviation maintenance. As an Operations and Production Manager, he performed functions in the areas of operational commitments, aircraft status, workload requirements, supply chain management and personnel assets. Additionally, he brings teaching experience from a technical background, which also includes curriculum development and instructional strategies.
During his tenure in quality assurance, he provided a systematic and efficient method for gathering, analyzing, and maintaining information on the quality characteristics of assets and processes, the source of nature of defects, and their immediate impact on operations. Furthermore, during planning using credible data, he considered the need for verification's of key quality system elements to validate data, and/or the need for full or partial system auditing. His maintenance management skills were instrumental in directing all maintenance in an operational unit for both personnel and tactical assets.
Becht earned his Master's Degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a specialization in Aviation/Aerospace Management. He has certifications from the Defense Acquisition University in both Program Management and Logistics Life Cycle Management.
