Teaching provides a sense of purpose which serves as a drive to empower individuals from diverse background. Professor Kpakar’s quest for education and career growth has ultimately developed them as a results-driven professional with diversified skills and experience in Education, Accounting, Project Management, Procurement and Business Administration. Professor Kpakar obtained a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Liberia in 2009 and a second bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing in 2011 from the University of Minnesota. In 2014, Professor Kpakar obtained double Master Degrees from the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota: MBA in Finance MSc. in Project Management. Professor Kpakar is currently a third year Ph.D. student at the University of North Dakota pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education.
Professor Kpakar currently works at UHG (UnitedHealth Group) as Vendor Portfolio Manager in the procurement department managing Information Technology procurement, Revenue Cycle Management and Healthcare Technology Vendors. Previous professional experience includes working at Saint Paul Public Schools as IT Procurement Analyst, Ecolab as IT Procurement Specialist, the Minnesota Department of Revenue as Revenue Tax Auditor, CA Technologies as a Financial Contract Analyst, Wells Fargo and US Bank.
Currently Professor Kpakar is an Adjunct Faculty at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota Graduate School of Business teaching Business Statistics, Accounting and Finance Concepts courses.
Professor Kpakar resides in the Twin Cities with their beautiful family and also enjoys reading, playing soccer and going on vacation with family.
