Dave is the Director of Technology at Minnehaha Academy. Previous to that he was the Director of Instructional Technology & Media Services for Minnetonka Public Schools, MN from 2021-2003 where he created the instructional technology vision and goals for the ongoing infusion of media and technology into a digital curriculum to enhance student achievement. In 2011 he began the award-winning 1:1 mobile device program for students in grades K-12. He works closely with instructional technology staff, media specialists and other school leaders to inspire creative and innovative uses of technology including language immersion, curriculum, assessment, online courses, computer coding, makerspaces and more.
Dave has presented at numerous conferences including multiple times at ISTE, NSBA, ETT, FETC as well as the LearnIt conference in London. In 2015, the National School Boards Association recognized him as one of the 20 To Watch educational technology leaders in the nation. Since 2006 Dave has spoken to over 75,000 students, staff, and parents in schools, churches, and businesses about digital health and wellness in over 110 communities—recordings at www.DaveEisenmann.com. Dave has been promoting the benefits of educational technology and importance of digital citizenship to over 325,000 people worldwide and counting through blog posts at TheNextTechThing.blogspot.com since 2014.
Dave has been an AVID Curriculum and Training Consultant since 2018 where he assists with development of nationwide teacher training curriculum to prepare struggling and first-generation college-bound students for readiness and success. Dave also taught elementary and middle school for eight years. Dave attended Concordia College-Moorhead, majoring in Elementary Education and German, and received a master’s from Hamline University.
