Nancy Van Erp is a former K-12 teacher who taught and coached at the 5-8 and 7-12 grade levels. She has a Master of Arts in Learning Technology and a Ph.D. in Education. Nancy is in the process of completing an MA in Character Education with the University of Birmingham (UK). Through her studies at UoB she is gaining insights about the intentional and meaningful integration of character and virtue education into professional development as well as K-12 and higher education learning environments. She has been teaching educators and working in the online environment since 2002. Nancy’s doctoral dissertation focused on critical thinking in the online graduate environment and she is a big fan of student-centered, constructivist, and collaborative learning environments for learners of all ages. Nancy actively tweets about education and advocacy at @IfNotUsThnWho.
