This course examines how to develop strategic thinking in response to ongoing change and direct strategic activity toward both agreed upon outcomes. An understanding of organizational culture and organizational lifecycles are key aspects of effective strategic leadership. Information on organizational risk management strategies is also included.
Upon completion of the course, students are expected to be able to do the following:
- Analyze organizational situations using an organizational culture framework.
- Create measurable outcomes outlining strategic direction.
- Articulate how organizational lifecycle contributes to determining strategic direction.
- Develop risk management strategies for selected organizational areas.
