Ann Van Diest is a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) with a B.A. in Economics from Saint Olaf College and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from the University of Saint Thomas. She is a member of the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Forensic Examiners.
Ann has been an assistant professor in Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota M.B.A. program since 2009 teaching managerial, forensic accounting, and government and nonprofit accounting. Her accounting experience includes both public and private industry and governmental accounting. Key areas of experience include auditing, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, budgeting, forecasting, policy and procedure writing and implementation and financial reporting.
Ann’s goal in teaching is to present complex financial information to students in an understandable manner.
