Max Vilenchik brings a depth of experience in statistics, analytics, applied mathematics, and computer science to his adjunct faculty role with Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. While marketing analytics has been his specialty area, his passion is using Python for data analysis and modeling in a business context.
Professor Vilenchik has worked in various industries solving business problems using predictive modeling, Python, and analytics. He started working in the insurance industry, building predictive models for fraud detection, bodily injury claims, and customer retention.
Professor Vilenchik also has experience in media, where he implemented market mixed modeling to predict sales for a pharmaceutical company. Most recently, he has been working at American Express, building predictive models for both the savings bank and the credit card business units.
Max received his B.S. in computer science from the University of Illinois, his M.S. in statistics from Northwestern University, and an M.S. in applied mathematics from DePaul University.
