Dr. Richard Berg is an Associate Professor at Saint Mary’s. He has been providing instruction in a variety of courses in the M.S. Project Management Program for over 14 years.
His professional career includes serving as a Sustainment Program Manager and Sr. Staff Systems Engineer for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, BAE Systems, and CenturyLink Communications.
At Lockheed Martin, he serves as a Lead Sustainment Systems Engineer for aircraft programs. Earlier in his career at Lockheed Martin, he served as a Sustainment Program Manager and Project Engineering Team Lead for Sustainment Ships and Aviation Programs (SAS) and served as the Sustainment Project Engineering Team Lead for Undersea Systems. Prior to LM he served in multiple capacities at BAE Systems including shipboard Defense systems manufacturing, and engineering. While working in the telecommunications industry, he served as a Program Manager for National Business Expansion objectives. Berg is certified as a Control Account Manager for Earned Value Management, experienced risk and opportunity manager, and is Green Belt Certified.
Richard graduated from Saint Mary’s where he received Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Management and Telecommunications Management. He then obtained his Master of Science in Project Management degree. He also holds a Doctorate of Education in Leadership.
