Christine Kerno has been a clinical social worker and leader for 29 years. After graduating with a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Boston University, her early years were spent in children’s mental health where she served as a school social worker, psychotherapist, and coordinator of programs for students with emotional and behavioral disorders. In 1999 after moving to Minnesota from Massachusetts, Kerno was appointed the Director of the Deer View Day Treatment School in Goodhue County. During this time she earned her Education Specialist degree in K-12 School administration as a Special Education Director and K-12 Principal. In 2006, Kerno also served as the Director of the Face to Face Charter School for at-risk youth in East St Paul.
Turning her focus in 2008 to adult mental health and chemical dependency, Kerno spent many years at the Minnesota AIDS Project as Manger of Chemical Health Services, Manager of Risk Reduction Services and Clinical Supervisor. In addition, for two years Kerno served as Director of Services for a large mental health agency providing Psychotherapy, Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS), Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports(CTSS), and outpatient chemical dependency treatment.
Kerno currently is in private practice at Program Solutions, LLC where she provides psychotherapy, consulting services, and clinical supervision.
