Saint Mary's has really been able to fit into my lifestyle well, because I teach full time during the year.
I wasn't just another student. They knew me by name. They helped me through the program.
This exceeded my expectations.
Saint Mary's University is a Lasallian university, which means that we are focused on meeting our students' needs in a very caring and supportive environment.
We just celebrated our 100th anniversary. And for those entire 100 years, I would say we've been student-centered. And this is what we're trying to do now by moving into online education.
An online program is something that typically will fit more cohesively into someone's life.
There are many benefits to mobile learning at Saint Mary's. Because it is so convenient and so available, literally, the students can carry the university with them. Secondly, it improves their digital literacies, which we believe will help improve their work practices and improve their ability to function in a mobile world.
They're able to use many of the tools and techniques that we teach them through the program immediately in their work life.
I will walk into meetings the next day and apply some of the concepts that I've used in class. I've developed almost like a learning culture within my own organization based on this program.
Our online students get the same kind of support that our in-person, face-to-face students get.
Instructors and professors in this program have been amazing in making themselves available.
Our faculty all work in the field during the day.
They cared about what I was learning and how I needed to learn.
And our students report almost right away that they are more connected, or at least as connected, as they would feel if they were in a classroom setting.
The community in this program, I think, is almost stronger than being on a campus.
The online programs really facilitate people with flexibility, accessibility, diversity in the programs we offer to them.
Just having the experience, the connections, the networking has made it invaluable to me in my future and the career that I want to pursue.
The faculty and staff of the university is proud to fulfill our mission of nurturing and empowering ethical leaders by offering the Saint Mary’s educational experience beyond our physical borders through a suite of online programs. Created to meet the needs of the busy working adult professional, these programs offer career-oriented curricula in a convenient and flexible format. A student of one of our online degree programs gains the benefit of receiving a degree from a university with the following credentials and student resources:
