Syed Ali Nabeel brings a passion for education and more than 15 years of IT experience to his role with Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.

Professor Nabeel's experience spans systems administration, databases and operating systems, network administration, and application development. Most recently, he's increased his focus on business intelligence, working on projects to evaluate digital technology's impact on enterprises—including mobile, analytics, IoT, cloud, and security technologies—while architecting, deploying, and managing solutions.

Professor Nabeel brings extensive data-management background with experience in SQL, R, and Python Pandas. He also has experience building data pipelines and solving business problems using Hadoop, Spark, machine learning, and deep learning modeling on AWS and Azure cloud platforms.

Ali earned his M.S. and M.B.A. from Naveen Jindal School of Management. His interests include cooking, especially barbequing, as well as hanging out with friends, watching movies, and working out at the gym.
